Share rules used by this tool
The calculator permits one share for a sheep or goat and up to seven shares for a cow or camel. It does not determine whether an animal meets religious requirements, whether a participant is eligible, or how a local scholar interprets a particular case.
Worked example
For a cow priced at $2,100 with seven shares:

Questions
Can a sheep or goat be split among several people here?
No. The module restricts sheep and goats to one share and cows and camels to one through seven shares.
Does this decide whether Qurbani is obligatory?
No. It only performs cost division. Nisab, obligation, animal age and condition, timing, and school-specific guidance require qualified religious advice.
What if the share cost is not evenly payable?
The calculator assumes equal shares. Handle unequal contributions separately and confirm that the arrangement satisfies the guidance you follow.
