The Wedding Budget Calculator divides a total wedding budget across planning categories using fixed percentage assumptions shown by the tool.

Allocation method

Each category amount equals total budget multiplied by its allocation percentage. The default model assigns 40% to venue and catering, 15% to photography and video, 10% each to decor, entertainment, attire, and buffer, 3% to stationery, and 2% to favors.

Example

For a 30,000budget,themodelallocates30,000 budget, the model allocates 12,000 to venue and catering and $4,500 to photography and video.
